What’s your opinion on mainstream music today?
I think it’s mostly political. They only feed us what they want to, not necessarily what we want to hear. Almost every song sounds the same to me and it’s rarely ever postive.

What do you like or not like?
I like anything that inspires us as a people to learn from our mistakes. I hate anything that inspires us to continue to make the same mistakes over and over agian!

Who do you admire?
Other than Jesus, myself! I’ve been through a lot and five years ago nobody could have told me I would come out of all of this alive and well. God has made a miricle out of my life and He amazes me everyday!

Why would people want to listen to your music over someone else’s?
It’s the truth! If you listen to me, your life will change for the better. If you listen to them your life will most likely stay the same and probably get worse. Plus it’s HOT, both lyrically and production wise!

Who have you worked with and how have they affected your work?
Since I’ve started, I’ve been solo, so I really can’t say. The only collabs I’ve done so far have been with Jacob Izrael and Mike G. Iz is one of my accountability partners, so I ask for his advice from time to time. For the most part, God and life are the only things that affect my work!

What is your local music scene like?
It’s a lot of talent, but very little unity. Artist are out here bad mouthing each other and battling on mixtapes and nobody know us! Radio stations play who they wanna play and it don’t make a difference how good your music is, if it aint what they wanna put out!

What suggestions do you have for other artists in the music industry?
Grind homie! Do you and stay on top of your business. Stay true to God and yourself and you can’t go wrong. I aint made it through the door of the industry yet, so aint much else I can tell you.

Where do you see yourself in a year from now?
Lord willing, overseas doing shows, living in LA and witnessing the fruits of my labor! Hopefully married…lol!

My life is an open book. My music is my testimony. What you see and hear is what you get. If you need something, holla at me. I aint never gonna be too big not to send the elevator back down. Lastly, don’t let the swagger and the charisma fool you. I make music for the hood, but it’s in Jesus’ name! Real talk! Thanks for the interview. Us indies need as much help as we can get now a days!
