How did you get started with your music?
In 1991, I had cliqued up with my cousin, Lil Mack (Charlie McAdoo II) who had a vision of working with music and arts following his older brother, Ron Mc (Leron McAdoo). That following year Backyard Enterprises was formed and including several performing artists such as myself: Ahmad (2001 Ahmobbin Rec., unreleased “Hip Hop Phenomenon”, “Jantre – In2itionz”), Lil Mack the bodysnatcher (“Lyrical Homicide”, “AUC’s Finest mixtape), Ron Mc (“Street Scene Offsprings series and “Sly”). In 1992, Backyard Enterprises was becoming a well-known name in Little Rock and began performing and opening underground hip hop shows for other unknown and well known acts to come and perform. As for me personally I began working on Ahmobbin Records and the establishment of alliance with Backyard Enterprises, working along with my family and crew I began learn more about the music, advertising, and the art of performance. A couple of years passed and we were still working on music and upcoming artists, but I had began to want a studio of my own so I didn’t have to depend on my cousin all the time for help so after slowing piecing my studio and company together I had began to search for a different concept and another name. The Backyard Enterprise family had came back together for a group discussion and to discuss new venues and ventures for the enterprise and to be able to have other artists such as ourselves to come together on a common ground. Finally, in 2003 the razormack.com took form and Ahmobbin Records\CrownMuzikEnt would soon follow after the suite, now designing web pages, comic books, computers, clothing apparel, automotive, poetry, art gallery openings (mediums), consulting, artwork and more music but now writing about realistic things and life compared to a group of junior high and high school meeting up after school and having a freestyle session while waiting for our transportation home.

What are you currently working on?
1. Jantre: In2itionz
2. CrownMuzik Summer 2007 mix tape

What kind of music do you listen to and how does it influence your music?
I listen to gangster rap, rock n roll, 70’s n 80’s pop, oldies, dance, r n b, hip hop, and any other music that takes a heed to my ear. It influences me a lot because it gives me an idea of what the conditions of the time that music was created. It shows me penmanship and how to write songs and lyrics to correspond with what the individual mind state is on.

What’s your opinion on mainstream music today? What do you like or not like?
In my opinion on mainstream music of the present have many combinations of categories from high dollar flashiness, introspective thinking, drugs and sex, money piling, street hustling, excessive club parties, life’s poverty and hardships, and providing some type of motivation for people of different nationalities.

Who do you admire?
I have admiration for Denzel Washington because not only is an outstanding actor, but he is very good at what he does and when does his performances in the movies. Watching some of the old movies that his has done and watching him transform into the great actor that he is today, I can tell that he has passion, dedication, and desire for the work that he does in which I try to do in everything that I do which is engulf myself in it and learn to love this passion that I have for my work.

Why would people want to listen to your music over someone else’s?
I feel that we have something in common you know, knowing that no one’s perfect and we all strive to be better and we all must go through some obstacle of life to make us stronger. The struggles that we have to commit to or live through to become successful or achieve our dreams that we dream about everyday so that we can then look back on them and have more appreciation on what we have achieved or where we are striving for on a daily basis. This is all what CrownMuzikEnt is about writing and trying speak to and for the next person who don’t have this ability to create or put words into forms of music where we can vibe too or just listen and say “Man, now that’s what I’m talking about we have no choice but to hustle hard”.

Who have you worked with and how have they affected your work?
I worked with a lot local artists like Ron Mc, Lil Mack, Momma Mac, B-Ray, and other local artists that just put me in a mind frame of how just how to write and focus on simple story pieces of my life’s many hardships and successes and how some dreams don’t transpire so you have to be able to be well-rounded and not to be stuck on one thing and life has many options and roads to travel so one must be open-minded or else be left behind.

What is your local music scene like?
Compared where we were then until now a lot has changed more performances, more artists being able show talent, more venues to perform at, more radio airplay, a lot more mixture of music styles and variety, and people and artists being able to come out and get together for a fun and eventful evening.

What suggestions do you have for other artists in the music industry?
I wish the best for them and that you can do anything you want as long as you are willing to put in the time of hard work, dedication, sacrifices, and passion and you can truly make it. Don’t let just one person or one thing hold you back if you feel it in your heart that is what you want then don’t stop at anything for it, because that’s your drive to live and the motivation that you need to make your dreams come true.

Where do you see yourself in a year from now?
Hopefully owning my own company (CrownMuzikEnt/Ahmobbin Rec) and just chilling and having fun doing what I do. I have always wanted to be a teacher/professor so I really don’t have an idea, but to just to become familiar with all the things that I want to do and just prepare myself for any type of work that I am willing to perform.

Any additional information you would like us to know?
