Eminem’s Relapse Gets May Release Date, Reveals Another Album |

50 Cent has continued to say that Em’s album was up first, but until today, there hasn’t been an official release date. Today, his label announced that his forthcoming new album Relapse is slated to hit stores May 19, but that’s not all. It’s also been revealed that the sequel, Relapse 2, will follow at the second half of the year. A video for “Crack A Bottle” is coming soon, but Interscope says that a new single and video will premiere on both radio and television on April 7th. Relapse 2 has yet to receive a release date, but Em says he’s currently in the studio knocking it out, and it’d be out by year’s end. “A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” Eminem said in the press release. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.” The new album will be the Detroit rapper’s first in more than four years. |
