How was your store first originated ?
– We saw the need to do more than the typical store. People are used to the same brands and the same retail mentality. We wanted to be a store, a lifestyle, and a brand philosophy.

How did you come up with the name for the store ?
– It was a play on words on the phrase “second to none”. We first started out mainly specializing in timepieces so it just came naturally.

Who are your influences ?
– Our influences are style icons, style pioneers, and everyone looking to be outside of the mainstream. Take for example, David Bowie, Miles Davis, Jim Morrison, Lenny Kravitz, etc.

What brand or things can we find at your store ?
– You can find independent brands, up and coming brands, and brands/styles that fall outside of the mainstream.

What sets your store different from others ?
– What sets us apart from others is our mindset and our philosophy. We are not just about selling products. We are the brands we sell. We are the image they convey. We are not the ordinary and mundane. We are a lifestyle. We have a personality, a soul, a sense of humor, a vision, and a need for a good cocktail every now and then.

Are there any challenges you run into while running a business ?
– Like any other business, the challenge is to increase market share and name recognition. We want to provide more to the consumer than just a place to buy stylish and sophisticated merchandise. We want to be a place to visit on the web to read interesting blogs, articles, drink recipes, fashion tips, cultural/entertainment info, etc. We want our customers to embrace what S2N stands for as much as we do.

Any future plans for the store ?
– Continued growth in the form of more brands, more features, more presence, etc. Who knows, maybe even a brick and mortar store can be possible.
