Exclusive Interview

Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
The two members of IntellaGENTZ met in Houston, Texas but are from different areas with Kontagious being from Port Arthur, Texas and Ron C from Palm Springs, California.

Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone.
On this single, Relay Race, we focused on giving a club feeling alongside an image to go along with. So we compared relay races with club dancing to make one image.

Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
Our hardest challenge has been promoting music without any feedback because if you’re not getting feedback then you don’t really know where to better yourself.

What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
The biggest set backs for us was funds with so much having to be done. Also another set back was just getting the name out there. The way we bounced back from that was by investing in ourselves by making flyers and shirts to give the name a buzz.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
The main thing artists must be careful of is not being yourself because if you’re displaying someone else’s image it won’t get you anywhere.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Things we would suggest to other artists is create your own lane and image instead of ones already out there. Also try being different and creative.

What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Our favorite way to promote is hitting the streets and schools because you encounter people and socialize in person to promote yourself.

Where can people visit you?
