Check out the new song from Legion The A.K. - All My Demons
Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
I am from Utah. Grew up on a farm listening to country and rock my whole life. Until the year 2002 when I found the first rap album to catch my attention, Tech N9ne’s “Anghellic.” I finally found what I wanted to do for my career, doing music! Inspired by Tech, I took the extra steps as a music artist to get myself noticed. With big help from Derek Keith – DK Studios, ogden, I got the right producer with the right style for me, “Shock Hop.” From there we created the “All My Demons” demo and here we are.
Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone.
The song is called “All My Demons” and it’s all about the struggle to stay in control of your hidden demons. It tells you not to be scared of them, but to just control them and know that its part of everyday life. Good vs Evil, right vs wrong.
Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
A hard challenge for me is trying to get my music out living in Utah. It’s really hard to get places in the industry out here.
What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
Trying to come up with the money to fund my demo and merch. I found someone out there who has faith in me and who was willing to invest and get it rolling. Thank You Mr.B.
What are some things artists need to be careful of?
Haters, real talk. A hater can put an artist down so much as to make one quit doing music on a count of one persons thought. If you know you’re good, then pursue it! Don’t let the world critics decide.
What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Keep on keepin’ on.
What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Shows. I love to get up on a stage and just perform. I don’t just get up and rap like most, I put on a performance you will never forget. Complete with a coffin, heads, skulls, fog, etc.
