Exclusive Interview
Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
I’m from Massachusetts, suburban America, little boro of Marl. Coming straight off Chandler Street. I went to college in the gritty state of granite and studied art, mainly painting. After school my art expanded into music, it’s only been like 2 years since I’ve started. I still paint on the regular and let the two influence eachother.
Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone.
PbPowerballad lyrically rotates in words of P then B. Coming from the symbol for lead, and my song Pb Poison. Made it with some freinds Pranklin Fierce (2nd verse) and TJ (3r vioce).
What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see?
I’m working on a project under the name Ric Ambiguous, expect to see a sample heavy comedic blend of beats and rhymes. I’m still growing as an artist, hopefully this is an upgrade.
Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
Well I’ve always been about product making, not product pushing. It’s a weakness, I never get out there to promote myself. I don’t really associate myself with the industry, never tried. This interview is the first time I’ve talked to anyone about any of my tunes.
What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
I’ve been pretty lucky, not many sets backs; it’s not really a career at this point.
What are some things artists need to be careful of?
Taking yourself too seriously, whether it’s blowing your head up or not thinking you’re good enough; those thoughts just cancel out who you really are. Life’s just a joke, that’s why I attempt to make music.
What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Do you and never stop.
What are the best ways to sell your products as an artist?
Asking the wrong dude.
What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Say “hey listen to this shit!”
