Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
I’m Yung Will from Portland Oregon. Currently in the USN so don’t have a lot of free time but when I do I’m always working on my music.

Tell us more about the current song you are promoting to everyone.
I would love to promote all my music on here, but since I’m choosing one at the moment I’m choosing to promote “Can I Have It.” It’s just one of my first songs I made and still one of my top favorites.

Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
The hardest challenge I still face is people’s criticism. But I refuse to let it stop me from doing what I love to do and I will continue to make music because I love doing it.

What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
Well when I first started making music I was in the process off joining the USN so I’ve never really had a lot of free time to work on my music. But now I’m making more and more time to make and promote my music and try and get my name out there.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
I think artists should just be careful of the music they make depending on the crowd that they want to reach. Music today is very complex and you have to be willing to learn and try new things at any moment. Yeah you should stay true to your genre, but if push came to shove, be able to make good music for any genre. Just be versatile.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
My advice would be don’t let others discourage you because a bad song to them may be a hit song to someone else. Don’t take the criticism personally, just think positive about it and try and continue as an artist and make progress to become better.

What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
I would say one of my favorite ways to promote my music is on YouTube and in person. It is always good to let someone hear my music in person and hear their thoughts right then and there.
